Professor Christiane Voit received her medical and pharmaceutical training at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, Würzburg, Germany. She obtained her MD in 1990 and subsequently qualified as a Dermatologist (1999) and Allergologist (2002) before being awarded a PhD in 2003. 

Christiane received full professorship in 2011. Professor Voit holds the position of Head of the Melanoma Follow-up Unit at the Skin Cancer Centre of Dermatology, Charité, University Medicine Berlin, Humboldt University of Berlin. She has received a number of awards, which include the Curt Meyer-Award (2006) for research on malignant melanoma tumour markers and the biannual Skin Cancer Award (2011).

Professor Voit is a member of several national and international associations including in Australia. She has regularly presented at international conferences, e.g. 13 times in a row on the ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology), has written a number of publications within the oncology field (e.g. several times in the Journal of clinical Oncology) and reviews articles for several leading journals in the field of Dermatology, Ultrasound and Oncology.

Professor Voit is currently involved in several scientific activities where her focus is on malignant melanoma, melanoma follow-up and diverse technical disease applications such as ultrasound for tracking down early melanoma lymph node relapse.
